If you are advocating for socialism, there are only three plausible reasons why. I would like to think if we share this with enough people we can help get rid of the ridiculous push for socialism in America.
- You are straight up lazy, and have zero ambition to own or create anything on your own
- You have been poorly educated about history, whether it is your own fault or not. You have zero understanding of America and how we got to live in this amazing place, and are oblivious to how it was built
- You believe the RICH (made so by capitalism and/or criminal behavior) people that want to control everything in your life. Do you even know what a bread line is?
Bernie Sanders knows what a bread line is and apparently he thinks it’s a good thing? Lining up for food? These days everybody has a damn computer with google at their finger tips, but they can’t simply search “bread line”? It’s no wonder anyone with even a remedial grasp of history is baffled at how anyone can possibly support socialism.

Here is a simple chart (for dummies) that might help explain why people who know nothing about world or American history might be persuaded to the socialist side. It shows what some people think socialism is, compared to what socialism actually is
There are much better explanations in the difference between Socialism and Capitalism, but just in case this post does get shared with a lot of people who fit into one of the three categories I opened with, I wanted to at least start out with the simplest forms and definitions.
If you do ANY research on this issue at all, you will find that one of the most common words used when trying to explain socialism is “distribute” or some form of it (distribution, distributing, etc). DO NOT underestimate this benign sounding word. In order for property or anything else to be distributed, it means it is owned by someone else.
You don’t get to own anything in a socialist society. Everything from your job to your home is provided for you by a small group of elitist people who control all of the wealth and opportunity.
My best attempt to describe the difference between socialism and capitalism in my own words is as follows:
The goal of socialism is to provide everyone with an EQUAL OUTCOME. The goal of capitalism is to provide everyone with and EQUAL OPPORTUNITY!@thetruthpol
The above chart, and its attached article goes into a little more detail explaining the difference in philosophies. It is still however a good piece to put in front of someone who advocates for socialism out of ignorance.
I imagine that I will do another post about socialism in the future. One that dives much deeper into how bad it has failed in it’s every attempt. I will provide examples throughout history and provide much more detail. This post however is just to try and simply explain what socialism is, and how it is not only different, but inferior to capitalism.
As usual, this will only do any good if a lot of people (including those that need the education) get to see this, so PLEASE Comment and Definitely SHARE!
